This is a pice I've done for a childrens book I'm working on that I hope someday will get published. It's based on a Native American story about a boy who is inlove with a girl but is too shy to tell her.. so he plays her a song on his flute.

i love people who are able to add a western element to native american stories (probably because i'm from arizona, and grew up hearing about them), and i applaud and hope that you will be able to get this book published.

so therefore, this piece i think, is well done for that story (and yes, i know which one you're talking about), but from which tribe?

honestly I'm not sure which tribe it originated from.. I heard it by word of mouth many moons ago at a pow wow here in CT.
My verson is not Exactly like the one I heard..just based on it^^ main deference is it deals with children.. and childrens love.. which is pretty different from adult love^^;; myself I'm Abenaki.. but I'm pretty sure it didn't origiante there^^

This is AMAZING.....The colors are just screaming at you with those reds and YELLows (haha, me and my good sense of humor :D). I love how balanced this all looks with the tree house and the tree itself. I like the realistic touches you put in this in the boy's hair and the lines in the wood of the tree house.

This is also very whimsical with the music notes, but I love the longing expression that you brought out in the boy's face to see where it is going. Not to mention I love the design you gave his shoes. They rock.;)

I would have no doubt this would get published, this is just amazing work. And by the sounds of it, a great story line. Tell us all when it does get published!
